Meet HI-OCTANE and the TEXAS CHAINSAW HORNS

Jeff Watson (Vocals) · "If I have to tell you who this guy is, you need to get out more.  He actually got high once with Big Bird from Sesame Street.  Bet you can't wait to hire us now."

Rena Ray (Vocals) · "A high-heeled hurricane. Enough said – Trust me."

Scott Thorne (a.k.a. Big Daddy Love) (Bass) · "My absolute favorite bassist ever, best man at my wedding and, next to my wife, probably my best friend. Because Scott is the father of a new baby girl, my favorite thing about having Big Daddy in the band is that no matter what time I call, he’s always up."

Mickey Way (Guitar) · "Formerly with The Boys and Paul and Paula, Mickey's influences include Menthol Kools™, Old Granddad and dead blues guys  He enjoys waterskiing, beating small animals, and anything Republican  Close your eyes and listen to him sing and you'll swear it's Oprah Winfrey, negro woman from the South."

Bobby Fagel (Drums) · "Basically, I answer the phones."

Josh Howell (Congas/Percussion) · "Josh comes to us from the Left Coast, where he once worked as a tofu taste-tester. Formerly with Pegasus and Force of Habit, he now spends most of his time in NFL stadiums and casinos. He’s the dedicated father of three and cherished husband of Vickie, who is obviously a woman of great patience."

Donnie Walton (Hammond Organ) · "Mr. Walton came to us after losing his job as a male nurse.  His girlfriend Liza is a hottie so we let him come to gigs.  Donnie is featured exclusively on Hammond Organs, vocals, and disparaging remarks towards upper management."

THE HORNS

Steve (Baywatch) Ticknor (Baritone Sax) · "What is it about Bowie, MD?  First Kathy C. Gifford and now Steve B. Ticknor.   No stranger to either the lap dance or the bong, Baywatch, much to the chagrin of his lovely wife Donna, can quite often be seen throughout the warmer months manicuring his lawn in nothing more than a thong and Roman sandals."

Tony Murtha (Trumpet) · "Presently the staff arranger for the U.S. Army Band in Washington, D.C., Tony grew up in Pittsburgh PA. He now lives with his wife Nanette and three sons in Stafford, VA. Formerly with Billy Price and the Keystone Rhythm Band, Tony loves dogs, Chivas Regal and Sousa marches."

Kenneth (SuperKen) McGee (Trumpet) · "Formerly lead trumpeter with the NYC Jazz Knights, we're very pleased to have SuperKen topping everything off for the Texas Chainsaw Horns.  Ken has always struck me as a man of serious convictions who loves the trumpet almost as much as he loves his wife Angie and his two beautiful children."

Eli "Run For The Border" Gonzalez (Tenor Sax) · "Our newest and shortest member, Eli hails from Rio Grande City, Texas - basically about $500 and a fence jump from Mexico.  His claim to fame is that in high school he played BRIEFLY in Ray Charles' band until one of his solos was so out of tune it actually gave Ray sight back in one of his eyes for about eight minutes... Just long enough for Ray to find Eli, smack the white out of him and send him back to bussing tables.  Ole!"

Antonio (Cannonball) Orta (Tenor Sax) · "Mr. Orta comes to us from Puerto Rico where he's known as the poor man's Ricky Martin.  Antonio has played with many famous jazz guys and some percussionists whose names I can't even begin to pronounce.   And judging by the number of different bands he's played with, I think it's safe to assume he doesn't get along with anyone.  So come check him out before we fire his Latin ass."

SOUND ENGINEER

Bill Culver · "I consider him a member.  He probably doesn't.  I do.  Try playing without him.  The twelfth member of the team and most critical element, next to the checkbook."

EMERITUS

Danny Leonard (Guitar) · "I honestly haven’t worked with a more versatile, funky and melodic guitarist in my life. That’s why we call him ‘Mr. Fabulous’. He’s a writer and a teacher and is constantly in demand in the studio. Dan has also written and produced his own CD which was released last summer."
